I'm not sure where to go next trying to figure out what's going on. I have the -13-1 version and it has the same problem. But, I did get a message from Dan and he says it works with his -alpha version. I suspect that not many people use the basestation db with JAERO so no one has said anything in the past. So it is detecting at some level but its not clear what it doesn't like about the file that came with it. ![]() If I change it back then it can't open the SQL file. If I change the name of the sqb to aircrafts_dump.db then JAERO's PlaneLogger says it can't find basestation.sqb. JAERO should be more forth-coming about the error. But I did look and I don't see anything like what you're talking about it warning about a foreign file. ![]() Now I'm strictly working with the db file that comes with the install. I do have other basestation.sqb files that I have downloaded for other apps. I'm currently running the database file that came in the folder for JAERO. I've attached what windows believes are the properties of the basestation.sqb file and it is only basestation.sqb. If it doesn't find anything wrong with the file it should be good and it seems the code in JAERO for reading the file must be kinda weak for it to choke on its own sqb file. I also did a compact database using the db viewer to get it to clean up the internals. It seems to me that if the browser can open it. If no one uses the internal database then I guess I'm just screwed. Thanks, folks for taking time to read this and consider it. short of that anybody got any ideas of how to troubleshoot this? There is no JAERO log for me to check to see what 'exactly' is going on when it says it can't open the SQL database? I've run out of ways that I can think of to troubleshoot this. Do any of you use the basestation db file that comes with JAERO and if so have you run into this problem before. I worked with Ben (the baldgeek) and exhausted his troubleshooting so I turn to the users at large. I went into regedit and looked for all instances of JAERO and only found the original one I installed 1.0.4-11. I extracted the JAERO folder from the original zip file and tried running fresh from there. They're not corrupt because I was able to open all of them using the DB browser for sqlite. I tried several othere basestation.sqb files that I use in other programs, like VRS. I'm using the sqb file that came with both 1.0.4-13-1 and 13-18. So I know it is indeed looking for basestation.sqb. I tried renaming it to the old aircrafts_dump.db and I get the message "Database file basestation.sqb not found". ![]() The file is in the JAERO install directory and it is named appropriately (basestation.sqb). When I open the PlaneLogger I get the dreaded "Can't open SQL database". It is supposed to now support the standard basestation.sqb file. I upgraded to the latest version (1.0.4-13-18). I got the old CSV (aricrafts_dump.db to work on the older version of JAERO. OK, so I've hammered on this for several days.
